Low Medium High
Code Meaning Severity Common Symptom
F1 Oven sensor open High The oven cavity does not reach temperature and the bake or broil elements remain off because the control board cannot read the sensor. View F2 Oven sensor shorted High The control board detects an out-of-range (too-low) resistance and cuts power to the heating elements within seconds of startup. View F3 Keypad short Medium Keys may not respond to touch or the range may beep and change settings on its own as though a key is being held down. View F4 Oven over-temperature protection triggered High Food in the oven chars or burns significantly sooner than the recipe requires, indicating actual cavity temperature is much higher than the dial or display setting. View F5 Relay board failure High The control panel appears to accept settings and the timer runs, but the bake or broil element never energizes because the relay board cannot switch power. View F6 Temperature probe short circuit Medium The oven element de-energizes and cooking halts while food is still in the oven because the shorted probe sends an invalid signal to the control board. View F6 Temperature probe short circuit Medium LG range error — here’s what you need to know. The F6 error code on your LG range indicates oven temperature probe short — the meat probe or oven sensor thermistor has shorted. This is a Medium severity issue. What Does F6 Mean on an LG Range? F6 indicates that the control board has detected […] View F7 Stuck touch key Medium A specific key on the control panel remains lit or active without being touched, indicating the control board is receiving a continuous signal from that key position. View F9 Door lock failure High The door lock motor has stalled or the lock switch has failed, preventing the latch from retracting and leaving the door physically locked after cleaning. View F10 Self-clean door lock mechanism failure High The characteristic mechanical click or latch movement that confirms door lock engagement is absent when a self-clean cycle is initiated. View F10 Self-clean door lock mechanism failure High The characteristic mechanical click or latch movement that confirms door lock engagement is absent when a self-clean cycle is initiated. View F11 Inter-board communication error High Because the EOC board cannot communicate with a secondary board, all functions routed through that board — such as all oven modes or all cooktop zones — go offline at the same time.
