LG front-load washer recall: door glass shattering risk — here’s what you need to know.

Affected Models: Select LG front-load washing machines manufactured between 2015 and 2016. Approximately 22,000 units with tempered glass door panels.
Issue: The tempered glass door window on affected models can fracture or shatter during the wash or spin cycle. Glass fragments may be ejected from the door, creating a laceration hazard. LG received 7 reports of door glass breaking, including 2 reports of minor injuries from glass fragments.
Consumer Action: Do not use the washer when unattended. Contact LG for a free door assembly replacement. If you notice any cracks, chips, or damage to the door glass, stop using the washer immediately.
