LG microwave recall: burn hazard from overheating (2013–2015 models) — here’s what you need to know.

Affected Models: Approximately 130,000 LG and Kenmore over-the-range microwave ovens with model numbers beginning with LMVH, LMHM, or 790. Manufactured between January 2013 and August 2015.
Issue: The microwave oven can overheat during use, posing a burn hazard. The heating element in the microwave cavity can generate excessive temperatures that transfer to the exterior cabinet and surrounding cabinetry. LG received 25 reports of overheating, including 3 reports of minor burns.
Consumer Action: Continue using the microwave but avoid extended cooking times above 30 minutes. Contact LG for a free in-home repair to install a software update that prevents overheating.
